A comprehensive and well-structured intake is one of the most powerful determinants of successful  neurofeedback outcomes. This one-hour webinar provides clinicians with a framework for conducting  neurofeedback-specific evaluations that integrate biopsychosocial interviewing, psychophysiological  assessment, and clinical reasoning. Drawing from applied psychophysiology literature and established  neurofeedback assessment models, participants will learn how to analyze presenting concerns, identify  regulatory patterns, screen for contraindications, and synthesize interview data into clear  neurofeedback hypotheses. The webinar emphasizes client readiness, sensory awareness,  environmental stability, and expectation setting—factors shown to influence learning-based  interventions such as neurofeedback and biofeedback. Through case examples and practical  interviewing strategies, clinicians will gain tools to strengthen their intake process, enhance safety,  and create more accurate and individualized training plans.

Continuing Education:  No CE credit is available for this webinar.

Who is the Audience: Licensed mental health professionals (LPCs, LMFTs, LCSWs,  Psychologists, etc), neurofeedback practitioners, and allied health  providers integrating qEEG-guided or symptom-informed neurofeedback  into clinical practice

Level:  Intermediate (appropriate for licensed mental health professionals with foundational neurofeedback training)

Agenda:
12:00pm - 12:50am Presentation

Presenter: Jessica Eure, LPC, BCN, BCB, QEEG-DL

Specific Learning objectives:

Based on the content of this presentation, the participant will be able to:

  • Identify key biopsychosocial, physiological, and environmental intake domains that inform neurofeedback  treatment planning, including symptom characterization, medical history, and contextual factors.

  • Differentiate suitability indicators from contraindications for neurofeedback and biofeedback, including  dissociation, psychiatric instability, sensory-awareness limitations, and environmental barriers.

  • Distinguish realistic client expectations from common misconceptions about neurofeedback and biofeedback,  and demonstrate strategies for reframing these misconceptions during the intake process.

When you receive your registration confirmation and click on the link to also register in Zoom, you will receive an email containing the link to join the webinar one week, one day, and the morning before the event.
